The company acquired its first Seattle property, the Nettleton Apartments, in 1962.

Over the past several decades, Harsch has acquired and invested in a number of office and multi-family apartment properties, diversifying its portfolio with downtown high-rise, mid-rise and suburban garden-style apartments. It also expanded its holdings more rapidly in recent years by acquiring multi-tenant industrial and retail properties. In 1997, the company added the 200,000 square foot Cloverdale Business Park and the nearby 98,000 square foot South 96th Business Park to its portfolio.

By adding the 198,000 square foot South 93rd Business Park in 2000, Harsch became a more prominent owner of business park properties in the South Seattle market. The company embarked on expanding its Seattle retail portfolio in 1999 by acquiring Ross Plaza, a 210,000 square foot project in the desirable Federal Way market.   Shortly thereafter, the company purchased a nearby 12-acre parcel on which it developed Pavillions II, a 150,000 square foot shopping center. The Seattle Area continues to play a dynamic role in the company’s portfolio.
